Meet the team

Our team is comprised of experienced educators who understand the demands of the modern classroom. We set out to offer the highest quality courses designed by teachers for teachers.

Everyone from our Directors to our Tutors are all qualified primary school teachers who are currently teaching in a variety of school settings, working as Home School Community Liaison Coordinators or working as professional development providers.

Liam Clohessy
Liam Clohessy
Liam is a primary school teacher from Bunscoil Rinn an Chabhlaigh, Cobh, Co. Cork. He currently works in curriculum development and was previously seconded to the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) working as a Health and Wellbeing Advisor supporting schools and teachers across Ireland. Liam also completed a PhD in the area of primary physical education leadership and has authored a number of publications in this area. He is a former chairperson of the Irish Primary PE Association and co-host of the podcast 'Playful and Practical PE'. Liam has also previously worked as a lecturer in Mary Immaculate College and with the Active School Flag organisation.
Denis Davoren
Denis Davoren
Denis is a primary school teacher from CBS Primary, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. He graduated from Mary Immaculate College with a first class honours degree in 2011. Over the last 10 years Denis has taught in multi-grade mainstream classes in county Clare and Cork. He is particularly interested in the curricular areas of Literacy and Music. Denis uses the guitar as a teaching tool in his classroom to promote learning and also accompanies the school choir at all school events. He has been teaching the instrument to children and adults, for the past 10 years.
Jason Byrne
Jason Byrne
Jason is a primary school teacher from Scoil Chroi Iosa, Galway City. He is currently working as a Home School Community Liaison Coordinator (HSCL) with Tusla Education Support Services (TESS). He also works as a Wellbeing and PE Associate with the PDST Primary Health & Wellbeing Team. Jason is an experienced primary teacher holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership from NUI Maynooth. He has a passion for promoting creativity among the whole school community and his school has piloted the Creative Schools programme since 2018.
Leanne Troy
Leanne Troy
Leanne is a primary school teacher from Scoil Charthaigh Naofa, Rahan, Co. Offaly. Leanne has over ten years experience of teaching in a variety of settings such as multi grade, single stream, DEIS and Non-DEIS contexts. She has a special interest in Art and completed elective modules in this area as part of her undergraduate degree, along with numerous professional development courses in recent years. Leanne is a keen artist herself and has experience of leading a variety of curricular and extra curricular art projects in her school and community.
Aoife Loftus
Aoife Loftus
Aoife is a primary school teacher from Galway. She graduated from Mary Immaculate College with a first class honours B.Ed degree. Aoife has taught in Mainstream, SEN and Special Class settings in schools in County Galway. She has a special interest in the area of Wellbeing Promotion and received a 1.1 in her Masters in Leadership of Wellbeing in Education from Mary Immaculate College in 2022.
Coran Swayne
Coran Swayne
Coran Swayne is an administrative deputy principal in East Cork Community Special School. Prior to this role, he taught and held middle leadership positions in Scoil Chill Ruadháin (Brooklodge National School), bringing with him a strong grounding in both classroom practice and school leadership. He is also a lecturer, PhD candidate, and UCC Excellence Scholar at University College Cork, where his research explores how school leaders cultivate coaching cultures in schools.
Colm Conlon
Colm Conlon
Colm Conlon is a Principal teacher of a small country school in Longford. Colm has also worked as an Advisor with ‘Oide’ in the area of Health and Wellbeing and, following a Master’s Degree in Education, has particular expertise in the SPHE Curriculum and its delivery. Colm lectures with Hibernia College and has created SPHE Resources for Schools.
